Reminder: if you missed reading Act 1 of our abridged script for The Tempest, you need to catch up with the class.
Shared some ideas on challenges to staging the play.
At the end of our study of the play, students will hand in a 3--5 paragraph essay analyzing:

1. The challenges to staging the play in general
2. Some of the ways the productions we will be sampling on film approached those challenges
3. How you would handle the challenges for a small, local production of the play.

With that in mind, students were encouraged to take notes as we watched the opening scenes of the 2009 movie version and the Stratford Shakespeare Festival production of the play.
