Tuesday, May 12 The Tempest production challenges essays due (tentatively).

Sign up for final monolog by Wednesday, May 13.

Students looked over available monologs in Basic Drama Projects (412--422) and read over likely possibilities.

Reviewed notes and discussed the productions challenges essay on The Tempest, analyzing:

1. The challenges to staging the play in general
2. Some of the ways the productions we will be sampling on film approached those challenges
3. How you would handle the challenges for a small, local production of the play.

Students began work on their 3--5 paragraph essays on The Tempest.
